NO!

HEY! THIS WILL NOT STAND! THERE IS NO GOING BACK TO THE PAST.

WE CANNOT ALLOW THE GAINS OF THE LAST FORTY YEARS TO BE BRUSHED ASIDE!

THE ENGLISH PEOPLE-FACING MASS IS OUR TRADITION! YOU CANNOT GO CHANGING TRADITION WILLY-NILLY!

IF THE ENGLISH MASS IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR TEDDY KENNEDY, THEN IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE LITURGISTS, AND I WAS NOT A LITURGIST, SO I HELD MY PEACE
THEN THEY CAME FOR THE HERETICS, AND I WAS NOT A HERETIC
THEN THEY CAME FOR THE APOSTATES, AND I WAS NOT AN APOSTATE
THEN THEY CAME FOR THE BANNER-MAKERS, AND I WAS NOT A BANNER-MAKER
THEN THEY CAME FOR THE PANTSUIT WEARING EX NUNS, AND I WAS NOT A PANTSUIT WEARING EX NUN
THEN THEY CAME FOR THE LITURGICAL DANCERS, AND I WAS NOT A LITURGICAL DANCER, SO I HELD MY PEACE.
THEN THEY CAME FOR ME, AND THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT TO DEFEND ME

When I am Bishop (and we are certain that it is God's will and thus shall come to pass), ALL Masses will be in Latin! None of this left-wing wishy washy liberal tripe that Benedict-Ratzinger in his Liberal Modernist ways insists on keeping.

I hear they are going to send out the Swiss Gaurd to make sure everyone has one of these masses. Better brush up on my Latin and get my berreta out of storage before they come a stormn'. The felt banners were getting moldy anyway.

"THE ENGLISH PEOPLE-FACING MASS IS OUR TRADITION!"

Sounds rather Anglo-Catholic, don't you think?

Funny stuff!

"Then they came for the intrusive, er inclusive, language advocates and I was not one..."

It's looking like 7-7-07 will indeed be a lucky day. Face it hippies, the party is over. You are raptus regaliter. Have a happy Vigil of the Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul today.

Oh, that was rich.
Nice.

I left the post about 7-7-07 being lucky. And now I find that I've broken Fr. Z's rules about the MP. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I should have taken into account the psychic trauma that may be felt by the upcoming MP by our faith siblings at SOV2 (brothers and sisters would probably be too gender specific). I can only hope that Kyrie eleison, Christie eleison, Kyrie eleison. And I'll remember the Spirit of Vatican 2ers this Sunday everytime I say "Et cum spiritu tuo."

Father TIM! Y'know I looked up what Motu Proprio means in English and you know what it means?! It means "Because I feel like it!" Can you believe that! I mean I always thought all this latin stuff was just hiding a bunch of phoniness and there it is right there!

Fr. Tim,

If they come for you it will be because I snitched out your hiding place. Neener neener.

Dear Che: They probably figured that all the good Latin scholars were Trads and wouldn't tell you that anyway.

PLEASE STOP COMMENTING IN LATIN. I break out in a rash every time I hear or see it.

I wish it be known that the "they" in this paragraph refers to ME!

How is it that they missed you when they came for the heretics and then again when they came for the apostates?
