PILGRIMAGE!

You guys, I am NOT. MAKING. THIS. UP!

Now that we got rid of those psycho-spaz militants, it's time to get back to normal. I suggest we take a pilgrimage to Minnesota for the final opportunity to see Marty Haugen, David Haas, and Michael Joncas in concert! (And I'll see if they can come here....Turk, are you down with that?)

You can read about it here, but I'll quote a section:

On Sunday, June 10, Haas, Haugen and Father Joncas will play one of the final two concerts they have scheduled. The 7:30 p.m. program at Guardian Angels in Oakdale is a benefit for “Music Ministry Alive!” — the summer program at the College of St. Catherine that trains young Catholic liturgical musicians. Last year’s concert wassold out.

That's my Alma Mater, St. Cate's! I just LOVE the Sisters of St. Joseph, almost became a consociate, but then I moved down here to Knoxville. You should check out their Wisdom Ways Center, and we can do that when we go up there, too!

Sister Fairah, aren't you an SJC?

Anyway, I think Turk would LOVE this trip especially. I'll have a sign up after liturgical dance practice tomorrow night.

And maybe we can get ideas for our Labyrinth there, too!

Who's with me! Sign up now, we leave on Saturday!

And for those who can't go for this weekend, we can do church with Minnesota and hit the Labyrinth. I'll be up there all week so you can also come as you will, but it's better if we roadtrip it.

No, I have several good friends in the SJC, but I am a RSM. Some think we may as well make that stand for Rainbow Stole Ministry!

Hey Maryann! Great idea! I would say that we should take the church van, but you and Sister and Todd & Eugene abandoned it near Kingston and apparently it has disappeared.

I'll put in a call to some friends of mine to see if we can borrow their bus, but if all else fails, I guess we could take my Expedition (I'm trying to keep the miles low, but with all those retreats in Maggie Valley, why bother?)

Last chance to see Haugen & Haas? No brainer! I'm there!

(PS - Cool labyrinth site. Maybe we should start calling ours a labyrinth instead of a spirit-maze?)

Maryann - Count me in! This is like having a chance to see Woody Guthrie and Clem Dorkins perform together!

Fr. Tim, we did not abandon the van! We just left it on the side of the road to come back for it later. I'm sure it will turn up somewhere. Don't forget that it had Sister's suitcases in the back of it.

Hey, while you all go on pilgrimage is it okay if I hold down the fort? I wanted to get my friends from SuSPeX together with my Scientologist friends from Penundra and the Hugo Chavez Brigade and have a big party.

Ché, I would say it's OK for you to stay here (although why you'd want to is a mystery... come on! Marty & David!). But unfortunately with Britnee still missing, I can't risk leaving you in charge of the parish. I might just have to call Fr. Curt and see if he could cover for me again. This is a real hassle not having an Associate Pastor! I guess I'm going to have to look into getting Maryann ordained, which is a shame, because I was trying to get her declared a Doctor of the Church.

Peace out!

I think I saw a van like yours in Oak Ridge the other day. A man was doing a nifty spray-painting job over the letters on the side, so I couldn't be sure. He said that he was going to use it to transport the merchandise that he was trying to sell. Then he asked me if I wanted to buy a watch, but I said that I try to tell the time by the sun--it's better for the environment: did you know that the watch batteries have acid in them?

Erm...I could always substitute for you, Fr. Plarvik, ol' buddy ol' pal.

Unfortunately the pipe organ I was towing got stuck in an underpass outside of Louisville. Now I'm not so sure it will fit in my storefront chapel down on Main St.

Thanks be to God! I finally figured out how to create my own interweblog.

Just to let you guys know, the MN borders are closed. To get in, you need to know the secret password and that happens to be in Latin...sorry.

swissmiss ~ Aw, you KNOW SJA runs an underground railroad. I think it's rainbow colored, substituting purple for "lavender".

Drats. I suppose it must be common knowledge that some of the railroad safe houses are at St. Kate's and at Guardian Angels.
Will have to get MN-DOT* out there to put a stop to things.
