Hey! Britt sent along this awesome photo of his/her banner which he/she made as a love offering to the faith community. That's just plain church! I had to "post" a picture to the 'blog right away! I'm so excited about hanging this right over the baptismal font, next to the mother & child statue thing that's hanging there now (thank the spirit that wasn't damaged during the siege! THANKS BE TO BRITT FOR THE NEAT BANNER!

Your Welcome, Father/Mother Tim. Anything i can do to make your community a more open, loving place would be my pleasure. First thing's first, though- you HAVE to get rid of all that sexist language. We can't have the Church being separated by boundaries such as "He" and "She" and "Father" and "Mother". We are all simply peoples, and should abandon all that silly gender nonsense, which was probably dreamed up in the Dark Ages anyhow!
I see you chose the colours of the rainbow. That doesn't signify anything does it???
well, as you know, we are all called to be part of the great spirit's eternal rainbow of peoples. the great spirit's diversity is so sacred and eternal that we should never try to separate one color from another. Orange would just not be as orange without Purple, and so on. Similarly, without labels such as "Man" or "woman" or "straight" or "gay" or "transexual" we are all even more beautiful!
Yes! That's exactly it, Britt! We are indeed Rainbow People! That was one of my favorite parts of "Lord of the Rings," you know, where Sarman told Gandalf about how great it was to make rainbows out of white light. I think that Tolkein was trying to say that white eurocentric culture must be broken down into all of its pieces. And you know what? White isn't one of the colors of the rainbow! Neither is black. This means that the old "Black & White" absolutism of the Dark Ages Church has been broken down into a beautiful spectrum of colors. So you can say things like, "I'm Blue" or "I'm Violet", and you know what? You're right! No-one can say to you, "No - you're really Yellow." That's what the Rainbow means.
