Finally!

At last we've arrived!! Just the sight of the lovely liturgical space here, with all its warm, creative, welcoming felt banners, revived me from the deep shock I've been in since yesterday morning. I'm so looking forward to the Incorporated Liturgy of Reparations and Responsibility Acceptance for Abuses in Regards to Really Mean things done to Witches, Non-human Animals, Indigenous Peoples, and people who like Dancing---especially the dancing! The uplifting strains of syblyng Marty Haugen will erase the uncomfortable silence of "Saint John Cantius" from my mind...I was so pained at how the chyldryn there (so MANY of them...) were oppressed; they were not running around, talking, yelling, eating, drawing, or climbing--not expressing themselves in ANY way! I'm sure the young syblyngs at Spirit of Vatican 2 are a much more self-fulfilled lot....I packed lots of willow bark in anticipation!

Hey!

It is awesome to have the Gorebetines here! There is some extra room in the cardboard city and some room in the youth room. But while Father Tim has been away a bunch of us are hanging out a lot at the rectory because Cyrus lent us the key.

I was wondering what that smell was!!
When was the last time anyone in your community took a shower?!?

Kids these days [sigh].... They've all lost the "active" part of "active participation"! In my day we all knew that those thick felt banners served a sound, utilitarian purpose: keeping junior from getting concussion. Of course, this was all before Ritalin. [Shakes head]

Thank you, syblyng Che! I think Syb Joe would be better off in the youth room....hy does tend to wander, and we've found it's easier to help hym not get hurt if hy's indoors...if everyone would keep an eye open for him, all that's needed is to point him back towards the room...

syblyng Rae, I always thought the banners were to absorb sound? Because of course we can't give our chyldryn synthetic substances! It's vital to their development as whole syblyngs to allow them to express themselves whenever the need strikes them!

What a breath of fresh air that wonderful sanctuary here is. Although I do believe we should discuss plans to build a side "altar" for Gaea and her True Knight Albert the Great.

Syblyng Madison~ Your order can do much good, then, by preaching a return to nature--since many of our children are on Ritalin, just as many of our women are on oral contraceptives! Show us the way (without making us feel bad about ourselves and our personal choices, of course :) )... And, in the event that you succeed, we'll need still more felt banners and carpeting, both to absorb sound (good point!) and to turn the SOV2 interior into a reliable padded cell for our Spirit-filled children.

Oh, the good old days....!

PS: What do you think of our communion bread? I seem to recall that your order deeply disapproves of baking!
