If your 'blog was banned...

Hey! As you probably know, I keep a close eye on the Internet to make sure that I'm staying tuned in to what the kids are doing. I also take a look from time to time at what the RadTrads and NeoCaths are up to, particularly over at SSLI. Believe it or not, they had a pretty neat idea. They made a nice little picture for people who have had their 'blogs banned to put onto their 'blogs so that people would know that they were banned. It's really cool to see those RadTrads being innovative - you'd think they couldn't even use the Internet since it doesn't say that they can in their precious "rubrics" or "GIRM" or "Motu Proprio." Anyway, here's the image for people who have been banned by us to put on their 'blogs so that our SOViers don't accidentally read some of their wacked-out reactionary stuff. Unlike the rigid and exclusionary folks over at SSLI, we're not going to FORCE anyone to use this image on their 'blogs, but we made the image extra-attractive so that we just know that the banned 'blog crowd won't be able to resist putting it on there.

Gee... didn't know anyone could get a web button to look like a felt banner.

Your post on the new PRLC reminded me of something. All day Saturday I was getting strange messages over my radio. "John has a long mustache." and "Wounds my heart with a monotonous languor". What's up with that?

I'm beginning to think you guys aren't very "church" yourselves. Aside from Sister Fairah, who I'm surprised isn't considered oppressed by the womyn in your congregation, you don't have any womyn in places of power within your church. Where is the outrage? I'm not so sure you guys are really feeling the "spirit of Vatican II." Pretty soon you'll be converting to SSLI in droves.

Thanks--I've added this virtual "felt banner" to my blog! :)

Will you be updating your list of banned sites on the right side of the SOV2 blog? (Applying the new rating codes will probably take time, I realize!)

I'm glad I'm not yet banned by this community...the SSLI badge looks a lot better.

Hey christina!

It's Che'. Don't worry about getting banned because I'm sure you're on the list someplace. I mean, I think your just the kind of person Father Tim would ban.

You seem really nice and stuff but if you don't want to get banned you'll need to start addressing some of the "contemporary issues" things that Father Tim likes. I mean, you need to say some things like "Republicans are stupid... womyn should be priests... Draft Al Gore 4 president... and things like that.

Father Tim, is that burlap? Now if I can just find where in the GIRM it tells me how to install a burlap banner, I'll add it to my blog sidebar. ;}
