Green Leaf Tea Sale Next Sunday!

Wow! Exciting News! First of all Keith and I have put aside our differences. He's agreed not to become a liturgical dancer and I won't call him fat anymore (I mean I'm not saying he isn't fat 'cause he is, but I just won't say Keith weighs 350-400 pounds or something because he got on a scale and he was right sort of. He only weighs 280 pounds so he's not as fat as I was saying. But if you saw him you'd think he weighed at least 350 because it's not muscle just blubber).

But the better news is that Keith and I had a great idea. With all the talk of the green leaf tea he grows we figure a lot of people are interested in green leaf tea. So he had a great idea! You know how I forgot to put last Sunday's collection in the bank. Well we took the collection and bought an extra big "stash" of it from this guy he knows who grows a lot of it up in the hills. Anyway we're going to be SELLING IT after all masses next Sunday, and we're going to take the proceeds and rent a bus to go to Oak Ridge and protest the weapons plant! Keith's also going to take some of the money from this first sale and upgrade his basement to grow more green leaf tea so we can make green leaf tea sales a monthly thing. You know you need a lot of flourescent lights and water to grow this stuff.

Well, anyway, I still need to check with Father Tim, but I'm sure he's okay with it.

I will take ten bags.
PLEASE save me some if I can't make it to church sunday - I TOLD Keith I wanted 6 pans of brownies from the bake sale, but I had to miss church that week because of the peace march and what do you know?
No brownies for me.
Ten bucks says Keith ate mine.

Ché,

Cool idea - way to keep thinking of ways to fund our justice activities. But I'm afraid this one is a no-go. Maryann just cornered me outside my office and told me that she was sending Keith to a special retreat for a while, so he won't be able to help out on the tea-sale. I guess she made him give her all of the tea which she is going to donate to the food bank, so I'm going to chalk up last week's collection to a donation to Inner City Churches United for Peace. That gets us off the hook for our diocescan assessment, so next week's collection can go entirely to Pax Christi.

Anyway, nice idea! Keep 'em coming! Oh, before I forget, Britnee, Keith left a note saying that he would send you some brownies if you could get some of the tea and send it to him. He left the following address:

Keith Freel
c/o Serenity House
16 Avenue des Enfants
Aix en Boigenne, Quebec
Canada 4055

Peace!

Father Tim! Well if we can't have the green leaf tea sale can we at least have the INVOLUNTARY LOCK-INS! I just got the special collectors edition of Pretty Woman and it teaches all about how we should embrace people who choose non-traditional life-style options. Plus the deleted scenes are really really funny.

Oh, and I noticed how a lot of the people who we don't know who are putting comments on this sight are actually RIGID TRADITIONALISTS! Because if you follow their names you can see their own blogs most of which are RIGID and TRADITIONAL (not good!) Like that seminarian named Matthew (let's hope He doesn't become a priest because he will lead the church back to the middle ages). I thought maybe you could put a list of these RIGID TRADITIONAL blogs down in a link maybe titled "people who need our prayers."

Ché,

Great idea about that whole rigid traditionalist thing. Like that guy who kept yelling about the Germ (what was that all about, anyway?).

You've given me a great idea (thanks!). I'm going to start a 'blog rating feature kind of like that radtrad catholic paper used to run where they tried to censor the movies by rating them morally offensive. I've just finished putting the finishing touches on my homily for pentecost, so I've got a little time to work on this before Fr. Juno interrupts me on his way to some sort of crazy "adoration" thing he's doing.

Peace,

Fr. Tim

(PS - On the i-Lock-ins, let's wait until after the next capital campaign).

They are always harping about germs because they DON'T LIKE COMMUNION WITH WINE, JUST BREAD!!!
I know, right?
They are all, "That's too much germs!" and "Blah, Blah, Blah!"
