Church Photo

Hey! Ngyuen showed me how to upload pictures! Pretty cool. So I had to upload a picture of the Church. If you haven't been to SOV2, here's what you're missing. The acoustics inside are awesome too.

Father Tim. Its me Che'. Can we get another picture of the other side of the church showing the cardboard tent city my committee put up to display solidarity with the exploited peoples? Also, why did you take down all the banners for women's liberation week? We worked hard on those banners.

Ché, you can upload the picture yourself - just get Ngyuen to show you how. It's easy. While you're at it, can you get a photo of the 15 migrant workers we're sheltering in the sacristy?

I didn't take the banners down. It was either the cleaning crew or it might have been Todd. He was complaining that the banners "deadened the acoustics" whatever that means.

I'm sorry Fr. Tim. I should have known you didn't take down the banners. I bet it was Todd. I'm so sick of Todd. He's always messing with my head. The other day my team and I were practicing lying down in front of the altar and blocking the aisles for GLAD-solidarity day and Todd comes in and says he needs to get through to rehearse the accompaniement for the liturgical dancing and I thought it would be good practice to make sure there was no way anyone could get down the aisle without stepping on one our sisters or brothers or trans-brothers or trans-sisters or sister-brothers. So I had us all pack in real close and he told his dancers it was okay to lie down there with us so I got up and told Todd that if he I had already asked you if we could practice in the church and he said he had asked you already and you said yes but I know he was LYING because of the fact that I know you wouldn't have made a mistake like that Father Tim because I had checked with you two weeks before, and last week, and even that morning and so I asked him if he had talked to you and he LIED again and said he had but I know for a fact he had been down at the music store all morning because its right next door to Catholics United for a Free Choice and one of my team saw him there, or was pretty sure they saw him there. So I bet it was Tim.

Ok, I think this is a parody blog, but with what goes on at some parishes, I'm thinking you guys might actually be for real. Then again...

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean "For Real" like "Really good" like Fr. Tim means? I mean like when he says at our Parish Council Meetings - It's time to be a faith community for real? In that case we're for real. Because I'm not sure about what you mean by another meaning. ;-)

What a handsome faith community building Padre!

Not to take you to task, but I think "church" is an outdated term just as "religion" is.

Seekers are turned off by "church" but not faith communities. And I was surprised you capitalized the word - that seems undemocratic. The church is in the world and the world is in the church but you wouldn't capitalize "world" would you?
